You will need to find a domain name available for your business. Our goal is to make your online experience as simple and hassle-free as possible. We handle all the technical details, but it’s important to be aware of a few key terms regarding your domain name and service agreement.

Domain Name Registration and Renewal

When you first purchase a hosting package from us, we register your chosen domain name (e.g., yourbusiness.com) with an official registrar. This initial registration is typically for one year, securing that address exclusively for your business.

To ensure your website remains live and accessible, this registration must be renewed annually. The good news is, you won’t have to worry about this. Your yearly domain name renewal is automatically included as part of your package renewal. As long as you renew your hosting package with us, your domain name will continue to be renewed each year without any extra steps from you.

We will send you multiple notifications as your renewal date approaches to make sure you have plenty of time to renew your service and avoid any interruptions.

What Happens When a Domain Name Expires?

If we have not been able to successfully communicate with you and your yearly hosting renewal is not completed, your contract term will end. This means your domain name is not guaranteed to be renewed, and it has the potential to go unregistered.

When a domain name expires, it can have serious consequences for your business:

• Your website and email will go offline immediately. This means customers will not be able to visit your site, and you will not be able to send or receive emails.
• Your domain name becomes vulnerable. After a grace period (which varies), your domain may be released and made available for anyone else to purchase—including competitors or domain speculators.
• Reputation and SEO damage. The downtime can cause you to lose credibility with customers and may negatively impact your search engine rankings, which are difficult to recover.

Domain Name Transfers

We understand that business needs can change. If you decide to transfer your domain name to another registrar, we’re happy to assist you. We offer a one-time free transfer of your domain to a registrar of your choice during your active yearly service contract.
